  • Policy

This policy has been drawn up in response to the current pandemic, using the current guidelines and legislation available. All the stated additional procedures have been implemented to ensure the highest standard of health and safety for our clients as well as the team. We will continue to take advice from the industry insurers, governing bodies, and general government guidelines regarding all safe practices.

All points are subject to change, depending on the current restrictions.

TheSkinStation’s priority is to keep clients and staff safe, as far as possible, during their time in the clinic.

During closure, the team have all completed the Barbicide® COVID-19 Certification. The course covers training in proper sanitation and disinfection practices and procedures consistent with the highest beauty industry standards.

We will ensure adequate ventilation throughout the clinic with doors and windows open where possible and between treatments.

Increased cleaning of the treatment rooms will take place between treatments and thoroughly at the end of every day. This will include all common surfaces and touch points such as door handles etc. A strict cleaning routine will be in place daily and between treatments, including toilets – bleached and sanitised after every use.

All equipment and touch points will be disinfected or sterilised after every treatment in line with specific manufacturer’s or industry guidelines for your health and safety, enabling clients and staff to have peace of mind that every item used as well as all touch points are the highest possible level of cleanliness.

Where possible we will use sustainable, single-use items. These will be disposed of according to the supplier’s guidelines to ensure clients and staff are protected from cross-infection.

Staff will be wearing PPE (personal protective equipment). This will include items such as gloves, face masks, visors and aprons, and this may vary depending on the service being provided and the restrictions in place at any given time. Please do not be worried or alarmed by this – it is simply a safety measure to ensure everyone is kept as safe as possible.

We require all clients to wear a face mask when in and around the clinic. If you choose to wear disposable gloves, we will respect your decision. Masks will be asked to be removed as and when is necessary, depending on the treatment taking place.

All disposable items will be removed from the room between each client.

    Appointments

If any client or any of the people in the client’s household feel unwell or display any COVID-19 symptoms, we request they advise us as soon as possible and do not attend your appointment.

If anyone working at The Skin Station becomes unwell or shows symptoms of COVID-19, they will get a Covid-19 Test and then self-isolate immediately. Should this happen, please be aware that your appointment may be rearranged at short notice. We understand this could, of course, cause inconvenience, but please know that it will only be done for your own health and safety. We will rebook your appointment as soon as possible, maybe with another member of the team and you will take priority over any new enquires.

All bookings will be via appointment only. Please book online or telephone us on 07888474791 to make any appointments during our opening times. Should the line be engaged or unanswered, please email us at enquiries@theskinstation.co.uk. We will contact everyone back and we very much appreciate your patience.
